We are delighted to announce that Sabrina Malhi is joining the Health and Science team as Senior Coronavirus Newsletter Editor with a mission to build on this successful franchise, which has provided much-needed coverage of the pandemic ever since. 2020. She will also report on other health issues and scientific news.

Sabrina joins the national office after a successful stint as a cross-platform editor for Post Opinions, where she hosted a monthly show on Post Opinion’s Instagram account. She brings to her new role a passion for making complex health and medical information accessible and an affinity for creative forms of storytelling.

Before joining The Post in 2020, Sabrina spent four years as editor at The Hill, helping shape coverage of health, technology, politics and global issues. She also covered the news, including the 2017 Virginia gubernatorial race and election protests. Previously, Sabrina was a journalist and video creator for the Newsweek group, covering health, medicine and wellness, and worked as an editor for Self magazine. She has written about health, nutrition and beauty for Medical Daily.

Sabrina was born and raised in New York, growing up in an Indo-Caribbean family. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University at Buffalo and a master’s degree in journalism from New York University. Sabrina is president of the South Asian Journalists Association.

Sabrina, who has a blue belt in Brazilian jiujitsu, currently lives with her husband in the District, which she enjoys exploring on foot.
