Journalist shares what he heard about Ndombele’s future at Tottenham – Spurs Web
Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge has revealed Tottenham could struggle to move on Tanguy Ndombele and there has been little interest in the midfielder apart from whispers of a loan move to Galatasaray.
Ndombele has struggled to progress for the vast majority of his time at Spurs since securing a record £55million transfer from Lyon in 2019 (The Guardian).
The 25-year-old returned to the French side on loan for the second half of last season after falling out of favor under Antonio Conte, but returned to north London after his spell ended.
Tottenham are said to be willing to listen to offers for Ndombele this summer (The Times) as he prepares to embark on his first full campaign with Conte in charge in the dugout.
Bridge has now explained that there have been rumors that Galatasaray will pursue a loan move for Ndombele but there has been no news regarding a departure which could pose a problem for Spurs this summer.
He told Tottenham fan Chris Cowlin: “Ndombele, there was absolutely nothing.
“I heard a whisper the other day about Galatasaray about another loan move, but there really was nothing.
“I think that might be the one player where Spurs might have a bit of a problem.”
Boosts web opinion
Tottenham need to find a way to take Ndombele off the books if they don’t believe he has a future at the club and they may have to swallow a loss for that to happen.
His salary is the big stumbling block apart from the transfer fee which is why clubs prefer to loan him out so Spurs may have to compromise.
