Journalist praises Allegri for staying true to his pragmatism even if it is not always appreciated – Juvefc.com
Italian journalist Guido Vaciago praised Massimiliano Allegri for continuing to make Juventus a pragmatic team despite the criticism he still faces.
The returning manager has seen his side reach their peak of form in recent matches, beating Chelsea and Turin 1-0 in their last two games.
They haven’t played the best of football, but the wins have helped them recover from their poor form at the start of the season.
Allegri is no stranger to criticism, but he has inherited a Juve side struggling with poor form and they hardly made the top four last season but his current job to bring them back at the top is not appreciated enough because of its tactics.
Vaciago maintains that critics might not like watching his Juventus play, however, his pragmatism is a virtue and the evidence shows he still does the job.
He praised Allegri for not complaining about losing key players and still getting a result from the same bad team as last season.
He told Tuttosport quoted by Tuttomercatoweb: “Allegri pragmatic, criticism does not appreciate. But it is a virtue, ”writes the newspaper. Max is a pragmatist, not a theorist. And that shouldn’t be a flaw, but an advantage.
“He made a virtue out of necessity without complaining about significant absences but trying to find solutions in a difficult moment:
“Some critics don’t like it. But, on the other hand, since football has talked so much about aesthetics, everything has become subjective. However, the results are always objective.
“Stubbornly trying to cook a duck breast with the ingredients of a carbonara (and then complaining that they weren’t the right ones) is not idealism, but stupidity. And then the carbonara is very good ”.
