Jalandhar, March 6

Jalandhar-based Hindi novelist Dr. Ajay Sharma has written another Hindi novel titled “Kumudini” whose story is inspired by the life of Dr. Kumud Pasricha, a gynecologist who runs an IVF center.

The novel was written in an autobiographical style. Dr. Vishal is the story’s narrator, who has a medical degree but worked as a journalist. Dr. Ajay Sharma said that the style of the novel is amazing and the narrator, Dr. Vishal, has managed to weave its fabric very well with his experiences as a journalist, writer and doctor.

Dr Ajay said the novel revolves around the life of Dr Kumudini, who suffers from cancer and has dedicated his whole life to enabling couples to give birth to babies through IVF. “She felt strongly about cancer because she had played with nature. On the other hand, the patients who were treated in her IVF center do not consider her less than God because they have been blessed with their own babies only because of her,” he said.

He added that Dr Vishal, the narrator of the story, first meets the patients visiting the IVF center. He used to collect full and careful details of the patients who came to him.

The narrator used to meet a variety of patients, including gays and lesbians. Interestingly, the novel does not only deal with the problems of patients, including gays and lesbians, but also tries to find appropriate solutions.

“It was a difficult job for the author to process the story. However, he succeeded in his task. The reader becomes curious while reading the novel keeping in mind – what next?” said Dr. Vishal. He added that the novel is full of information related to medicine and psychology. The tongue is very strong and powerful. —
