Harry Potter superfan spots major plot foreshadowing in Philosopher’s Stone

A Harry Potter “fanatic” discovered a poignant detail in the first book of the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Cade, who posts as the Wizarding World Collector on TikTok, created a video highlighting an important moment of foreshadowing in the text.

The “mind-boggling” detail of the final chapter of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone comes after Harry defeats Professor Quirrell.

Professor Dumbledore and Harry are talking about Professor Snape.

The section reads as follows:

Harry: “Quirrell said Snape -“

Dumbledore: “Professor Snape, Harry.”

Harry: “Yes, him – Quirrell said he hated me because he hated my dad.” Is it true ?

Dumbledore: “Well, they hated each other rather. Kind of like you and Mr. Malfoy. And then your father did something Snape could never forgive.

Harry: “What?

Dumbledore: “He saved his life.

This scene foreshadows an event in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Our favorite trio, Harry, Ron and Hermione, are in the on-demand room looking for the tiara when Draco, Crabbe and Goyle. Crabbe lights a fire and poetically Harry saves Draco’s life.

Cade chose this interesting foreshadowing plot detail that we all read right after, thinking it was just a minor conversation.
