Shayar also lived in an affluent area of ​​Jaipur. Chaina Ram Bera, a police officer, told media that Shayar was on the run, although one of his associates was arrested. The duo had recently broken through the shutter of an electronics store, stolen electronics and sold them in markets.

Police say Shayar is using the tag of journalist to cover up his crimes. And surprisingly, he has been successful in deceiving officials for several years now.
