Annoying! Ndidi in conflict with a journalist on social networks

Wilfred Ndidi has denied reports that he faked an injury in order to be excused from Nigeria’s friendly against Algeria.

The 25-year-old midfielder was among the first to arrive at the Nigerian training camp in Constantine but had to return to England after team doctors advised him to rest.

The story took another twist, however, when Nigerian journalist Suleiman Folarin claimed the Leicester City star had left the team after a disagreement with manager Jose Peseiro over a new role.

“Sources on Ndidi’s injury: Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro wants to play Wilfred Ndidi in central defense against #Algeria. Ndidi is upset about it. He wants to play in midfield. Next thing, Ndidi has an undisclosed injury, out of the squad and returning to #England Folarin posted.

In response, Ndidi fired back at the reporter, before denying the allegations.

“How certain are you? Did you ask questions? Did you check your facts, no! You just decided to tweet… well done you did it yourself proud sir,” the midfielder replied. Leicester City pitcher on Twitter.

On his Instagram story, he said: “And you keep complaining about me not giving interviews. #Checkyourfacts, embarrassing of you. He concluded.

Meanwhile, the Football Federation of Nigeria had since cleared the midfielder of any wrongdoing.
